A while back indicating would cause an unpleasant buzzing sound, this turned out to be caused by the hazard warning switch. I had had problems with it sticking before and given it a bit of a clean up/service. Now when the hazard warning button is pushed in the indicators stop working, with the button out they work again. I bought a replacement switch, the first they sent didn't fit, 2nd didn't work now onto my third still not working?!! Wondering if I have another problem? When I push my original switch down about a third I can get the lights to flash as they should, but clearly I need it to lock into position! I have cannibalised one of the other switches to use less worn parts, but still have the same problem.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I suggest you check out fuse 15, since that's the one for the hazard lights.
If it's blown, check that no additional circuits have been added to it. Cowboy alarm and ICE fitters know that the hazard light switch feed is live on all cars, and easily accessible, so they make a bee line for it.

Thanks Brian, it was the fuse turned out to be No 24 though! Found out after taking glove box etc out to access the wires, then decided to check the wiring diagram! I feel so dumb! I will blame the anti-rejection medication I am on!

Just looked back to see what I wrote. That should have read "fuse 24, 15A", not "fuse 15".loogie1 wrote:Thanks Brian, it was the fuse turned out to be No 24 though!
Miscommunication between brain and fingers, and I don't even have medication to blame!

Ha! Thought so. Thanks anyway. Just failed it's MOT! a˜¡ levelling pipe on the fuel tank is leaking! Could be a problem sourcing a replacement, may be easier to replace the tank.
