My electric door mirrors only move up and down, not left or right - I am assuming there is an issue with the switches somewhere but don't really know where to start.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Gus

If the problem affects both mirrors, and both became faulty at the same time, then where you start (and finish) is the switch. Replace it.

Going to revise my answer to this! IIRC, the 'normal' failure mode is that they only move side to side, and won't move up and down. Your problem implies that the clutch solenoids are being powered when they shouldn't be, not failing to be powered when they should be.
Prise out the switch, and unplug it. Make up three short wire links, use one to link the green/white to the blue/white, connect one of the other links to the brown and touch the other end to the blue/black and black/white in turn. This should make the RH and then the LH mirrors move sideways respectively.
Now unplug the links, and connect one between the brown and blue/white wires, connect one end of the other to the green/white and touch the other end to the blue/black and black/white as before. This should make the mirrors move back again.
Connect the third link between the green/white and white/black, and repeat all of the above. This should make the mirrors move up and down instead of left and right.
