Hi
Would radiator with not integrated expansion tank could be changed with radiator that has coolant expansion tank integrated?
Both cars are 328i with climate control. One is made 1998 other 1997.
Are e36 coolant radiators interchangeable?

They are interchangeable in that it can be done, but the later type has to be used with the matching fan shroud which has the header tank mounted on it, along with several extra rubber hoses.
I have two E39 528is, one with each type of rad., and the earlier set up is the better quality one by far.
'97 - '98 appears to be the point that BMW finally lost its way, gave up on engineering, and went for profit instead.

I mean changing entire system. Keep just one with integrated tank, get rid of that other expansion tank. By looks of it it should work but want to be sure before i remove stuff. Looking at various pics online I saw e30 M5x swaps using both types of radiator set ups.
