I decided to sell my 1988 E30 316 Carb, so last thursday i put it i the auto trader it cost £15 as i was advertising it for £1000 this gets you two weeks on the internet and one week in the actual trader.
Now i completed the forms and made the payement by about 10:30 am last thurs! People were ringing up by 11:00 and it was sold by saturday! it went into the trader today and iv had about ten calls today alone!
Is £1000 too cheap or are these cars becoming more desirable as they become a modern classic?
Has anyone else experienced this?
Ps check out my car on the traders web site it does look fair good if i might say so my self. just search for BMW 3 series for £1000 and you will fond the Black beast (Carberettor model F reg).
Would you pay £1000 for it?
How easy are E30's to sell modern classic?

I'm amazed you sold a 316 carb that easily. Certainly the rarer models are more desirable but wouldn't have expected that all.
Good work getting a £1k for it.

I've always had good success selling motors through the Autotrader, but have always used "supersize" ads - its not cheap - that's why MY 316 carb is being offered round the forums, and on the infamous eBay - MUCH CHEAPNESS!!

FK coilovers, £650 - Big mistake... should have gone for fixed rate H&R's...
Okay for the road, but not the track.. not hard enough.

I'm a Product Designer by qualification, but I'm currently a Software Designer, I do CD-roms, Training Courseware, pretty much anything I need to do...
