bmw e30 medium casing swap help!

Hi i just need advise, i changed my small case for a medium case but the bolt holes dont line up and ive read that the propshaft needs slacking off. Is that the only way to do it and if so how and where is the part i need to undo? Thanks

Behind the centre bearing. Slacken the collar with a big pair of gas pliers, tap the end of the prop in just enough for it to fit and retighten.
