when i started my 91 325 up after its winter lay up, it has decided that the temp varies up and down between -30 and 14 degrees on the OBC, before i troubleshoot is this a likely sensor failing?, where actually is the sensor (?) or could this be an OBC fault. i have already noticed the range guide on the OBC wildly optimistic recently.....
are new sensors available from the dealer?
looney o/s temp reading - OBC fault or sensor? Dealer part?

-30 is what the display shows with the sensor disconnected, so it'll either be the sensor itself, the connection to it, or damaged wiring. Relatively low resistance NTC sensors like these are fairly reliable, so start with the wiring and plug.
Sensor is in the LH front brake duct.
