Clutch switch (Auto to Manual swap)

Hi everyone

While researching a DIY guide to perform the auto to manual swap on my 318i, I came across something I am unsure about and was hoping someone on here could shed some light on it.

I was just wondering what the clutch switch does and whether it is something I need to look into further. Or is it just in higher spec cars with the likes of cruise control.

Clutch switch is solely for cars with cruise control. Disconnects the system when the clutch is pressed, otherwise the engine would hit the rev. limiter.
