I have a euro 323i with 3 prong H1 Hellas with parking lamp inside. I bought replacement lamps that look identical except they are 2 prong (like ellipsoids) without the parking lamp inside.
What car did these lamps come from? Late face lift without ellipsoids?
Two different types of Pre face lift headlamps?

The inner lamps for high beam only have two prongs since they don't have the parking lamp, although the lens of this unit will be different.
the wiki page lists the 3 different types of headlights that were fitted throughout the production run and I don't know of any others;

If they are as you say exactly the same except for the lack parking light, maybe your replacements are from a different car that houses the parking light elsewhere?

I was mistaken...the lights do have parking lights inside the low beam just the caps are different with different connectors. They have a plastic cap while my originals have a rubber cap that covers the connector.
