Hi all,
I'm looking at treating my 1992/J E30 325i SE saloon to the Bilstein B12 Pro-Kit setup (Bilstein B8 shock absorbers / Eibach Pro-Kit springs) as the original suspension is tired. I've got the same setup on my E92 daily driver and like it, I'm not into lowering and only went with Eibach to get stiffer spring rates to tighten up handling.
Does anybody have any opinions on this setup? I've got 16" AC Schntizer wheels on my E30 and by all calculations the ride height drop seems to be reasonable.
I bought the kit for my E92 as individual parts (2x front shocks, 2 x rear shocks, springs) as it worked out cheaper. There's a little confusion about part numbers, for the kit 46-000101 and 46-000163 are offered with the only difference being 825 kg vs 865 kg front axle load. I'm guessing being the heavier M20 straight six I need the higher load 865 kg kit? The same distinction applies between the Eibach Pro-Kit springs, E2019-140 for 865 kg and E2003-140 for 825 kg.
The component part numbers for the shocks vary between B8 Sport and B8 Sprint. Sprint are designed for use with lowering springs so I'm guessing the Sprint version is the one that I want?
If anybody has a list of part numbers that they have used it would be appreciated - I've had bad luck with parts not being quite right lately!
Thanks in advance for the help.
