Any tips on removing and fitting rear support bushes on track control arms?
Also any good places to buy replacement track control arms?

Bushes are fitted to the 'lollipops', then pushed onto TCA pin by hand, using a non permanent lubricant, such as a 50:50 mixture of washing up liquid and water. The bush must be positioned at the correct angle on the pin before the lubricant dries out, and similarly, the car must not be driven until the lubricant no longer lubricates.
Best done with the TCA fitted to the car and a piece of wood between the TCA and the subframe, positioned so as to force the pin downwards and keep it still.
Lemforder arms are available from CP4L, and other places.

And for putting it onto the TCA, I submersed mine (after having struggled like mad on the first!) in boiling water for a few minutes, which made life a lot easier, and meant it only took a minute or two to get the bush onto the arm.

I've been told that the BMW lube they use is basically petrol and that this is another way to go about it.

Also it is worthwhile settling the suspension before the lube dries out, if the suspension is left in the drooped position you will always have the bush wound up at static ride height.
That is bad for suspension compliance and for bush life.

That's what I meant by "correct angle" in my last post. Bush must not be stressed at normal ride height.HairyScreech wrote:Also it is worthwhile settling the suspension before the lube dries out, if the suspension is left in the drooped position you will always have the bush wound up at static ride height.
