please can some one help the htr hoses on the car which one goes to the rear of the head top or bottom , did a head chasnge just found out the previous owner said the gauge took a long time to register and for the htr to get hot

Back of cylinder head to bottom heater stub.
Sounds like you might need to replace the thermostat before you finlly fill and bleed the cooling system.
