I want to lowering my currently stock 320i but I don't know what to get?
I want to achieve 60mm+ drop f&r
So far I think I want h&r sports springs and blistein b8 shocks.
Do I need anything else? Read about end caps, bump stops etc. I don't want to take the suspension apart to realise I've missed something or not happy with the height etc.
Also will this setup go straight in without modification?

The only way you'll lower an E30 by that amount and still have a car that handles in any safe way is to effectively lower the body on the floorpan. Much welding and expense.

If you lower it by that much, all the geometry will be up the creek, you'll hardly have any suspension travel left, you'll need to keep an eye out for ripples in the road surface and get a sump guard.

Maybe Im thinking of too much? I just want the wheels to sit inside the guards without 17" rims.
So h&r sport 60front/50rear and blistein shocks will be too much? I thought this was the standard drop for most people lowering their e30's

Only those who don't care about ride comfort, handling and keeping the engine oil in the engine. 35-40mm is considered the max without ruining the car.pauljsc wrote: So h&r sport 60front/50rear and blistein shocks will be too much? Thanks for the advice bro. I might try the hr 60/50's and blisteins and worst case change the springs. Most the cost is in the shocks anyway. I will definately be getting a sump guard either way as well.
