Hi all
I've got a 316 carbed motor in my e30 at the moment and I'm going to be fitting an m20b25, obviously as it's carbed I have the mechanical fuel pump on the side of the head, what is the best way to fit an injection pump, will I have to fit a whole new tank that will take a pump, will a pump fit in my existing tank or can I run a high pressure aftermarket in line pump, sorry if it sounds like a stupid question but I'm not to clued up on e30a yet a˜‚a˜‚

I'm no expert but you could do both, either inline or fit a later model tank, if I where you I'd check out realoem and compare the differences on the diagrams between your fuel delivery and the 325's, you never know, your tank may take an in tank pump.

Thank you, it looks like I just have to remove the sender/pickup in my tank and fit the pump from an injection motor straight inmotormanmick wrote:Maybe it will fit your tank, link to real oem, cheers.

A standard two pipe E30 in tank pump will fit the tank in your 316, BUT, if the metal cup welded to the bottom of the tank, which the pump pick up sits in, isn't fitted, you will suffer from fuel surge problems when the tank contents are low.
