car is '87 325 with 4-stud manfold-to-exhaust joint.
am trying to fit a replacement 2nd hand full 2-piece system,not realizing, until i came to offering the frontpipe up to the manifold ,that there are 2 sizes of 4-stud joint-large and small.
the manifold is the small version whilst frontpipe is the large size.
the frontpipe can be altered to fit just by filing the holes-a 10 min job but this still leaves the bores of the pipe-work misaligned slightly with the ones on the manifold.
is altering the f/pipe to fit an acceptable mod that works or wiil the off-centre pipes cause probs?
