Right, so I'm looking for a 60/40 drop on the touring..... yes I know..... Sorry.

Ive seen a set of ap sportfahrwerke shocks and springs... very reasonable price for tuv approved stuff, but looking at the range of "drops" it kinda looks like they don't have touring specific rear springs, they just mix and match. Available in 60/30 flavour.

One step up I guess would be Apex. Ive read their springs are decent, but not heard anything about their shocks?

Next, would be st suspension, it looks like they do touring specific rear springs. Available in 50/40 flavour.

Next would be H&R cup kit, this is kinda why I'm posting....
Ive read lots of good things about this kit, but when it comes to tourings, it looks pretty split on opinion. Cab kit or saloon kit?

Im happy to spend the £460ish if they're miles better than anything above, but need confirmation on cab or saloon kit. Ive exhausted the search function and I can only really find 1 person vouching for cab springs and 1 for saloon.

So next question; I know as a forum, we all like bilstein + eibach/h&R springs..

Thats cool, but I'm looking for 60/40 springs. Would 60mm on the front kill the front b4's? in which case, would I need b6's on the front to cope with 60mm?

(I'm led to believe from this forum that b6's are shorter than b8's. Contrary to all of bilsteins literature)

If so, i can't afford b6's so this route would be a no go.

So unless someone has first hand experience and can recommend either the ap /apex / st kits for a touring, it comes down to cab or saloon H&R kit.

Sorry of the long post, just wanted to make sure I get the best advice possible. (your an idiot / it will be dangerous /council comments don't count as good advice)

Thank you guys. :)

Cab or saloon is not the way to go if you have a touring, the reason they have separate kit for the touring is that the shock valving and spring weights are different.

I checked AP and their max drop has a 40/30 split for a touring, so it looks like you may be on your own with a 60/40 split, mean experiment by trial and error.

I have bilstein coilovers on my sedan, they also have adjustable valving, but that blow your budjet by a long way, but something similar may be your best bet.

Can't comment on the kits your asking about but I do know that cab and tourings carry the same suspension due to the extra weight over saloons but you do need to factor in 4pot & 6pot differences in front springs.
