Its a mission to get it to fit right, paint doesn't like it and usually moves at some point in the future, and it never looks as good as the real thing.
Ok for a track car, but thats about all I would fit it to

Thing is I want to put normal m tech kit back car was made for it as it came with that from factory but it's just stupidly expensive I would happily pay a grand if some one has one but anymore can't be done

Just make sure your insurance company knows what genuine kit costs.

BUT, I reckon a genuine cab. mtech2 kit should sell for enough to finance a saloon kit. There's always members on here asking if the saloon kit they've bought will fit a cab.

To be honest car came in today and It's worse than I thought the only thing left on the car is the engine cause that could obviously be identified and now all the kit is off its quite rotten under there and I just don't no what to do with it.could rebuild lt but not sure If it's really worth it shame

Sorry to hear that but maybe worth to salvage what u can and sell it and start saving for another! There is still plenty half decent examples out there for not a lot of cash that have the basis of a good sound car.

Depending on how good the shell is in general then it might be the perfect chance to weld it up.

Anything else you get it just as likely to be moody under the kit as what's left of yours.

The car was / is rubbish, just put it out of its misery. I assume you got / are getting a nice payout, which will make the loss easier to stomach :)

It ain't about the payout to me cars mean more to me than just a bit of mental that is why I buy cars that are rare and different instead of your run of the mill stuff that I work on everyday. Which is what is bringing me to put it back on the road it ain't that bad my escort was 20 times worse I just don't no yet all depends on how much insurance want for me to buy it back

By the time you have replaced all the missing bits and repaired the many issues it already had, you will be many thousands past its value. Take the money and run. If you really must have a dog to throw lots of money at, buy a complete one, there are plenty of them out there ! :( :)

The 30 hours welding that the sorry shitheap will need are the least of its problems. Imagine the state of the wiring loom after all of them morsels have been 'carefully' removed ! :(

To be fair it don't need 30 hours of welding it ain't that bad and the electrics funny enough they unplugged it all which is a surprise I even put a battery on it and it fired straight up but obviously missing maf sensor so didn't run well but it's a start

I say rebuild it, the cost is besides the point if it's a keeper. I get where your coming from with this. You'll never get any sympathy rebuilding a wreck on the Zone, but just look at the build threads to see the work people do do. Start your own thread and you'll start to get support.

I'd call that a result ! :D

Insurance companies will often Cat B something that they know the 'repair' is likely to involve the theft of an identical car .

Nothing was just stripped for parts but I reckon they made is cat b cause I no a lot of people were stripping there car down saying it was stolen and then bolting it back together after pay out so maybe that is why.plus they don't want old cars on the road

Hadn't you owned the scabby turd for 3 months? Not sure why you have such an emotional connection with it :?

Be smart with the insurance company and you are in for a decent payout. Then go buy a decent one.
