Hi All,
I was wondering where the drainage holes are located on my touring, carpet is slightly damp so wanted to clear up the drainage holes hoping that would resolve the dampness, also my heat blower is quite noisey, what could that be?
Thanks

Sunroof drains are into the front of the sills and behind the sides of the rear bumper, the same as any other E30.
Noisy heater fan will be the motor bearings crying out for lubrication, or something touching a fan blade.

From outside, you can only see the front 2 when the sunroof is back. To see the rear two, you will need to take the headlining out. (nice and easy on tourings as you don't need to remove any glass)

Hopefully you just have a blockage or a kink in one of the pipes.

Realistically, the drain holes will have all rotted out and your fucked :)

(thats where I am with my touring) Im torn between welding sheet metal in its place, welding the sunroof in with brackets and sealing it up to look original, or fabricating new drain hole corners and outlets and welding them in, either way its lose lose.

scrap it and buy another one. Roof issues suck :(

my carpets aren't like puddles which has put my mind at ease, there just mild damp, the sunroof seal has seen better days so will have to order one, haven't had a chance to check for the drainage system yet. Thanks for the heads up though lol

Yes the previous owner had made a very poor repair. This is the better of the 4 drain holes!

You might have to take out a mortgage for the sunroof seal! I priced one a few weeks back they cost over £140!

Sunroof seal won't be the problem, unless it's really bad. Water is supposed to get past it, and is then dealt with by the drainage system. Its main purpose is to stop wind noise.
Rear drains can be rodded upwards easily enough, by looking in the rear side compartments and pulling the hoses off of the vents.
