Just had my e30 318i auto converted to a manual m52.
Got the car back and there's a few issues. Clutch has been bled (I think not properly) but when stationary when you try go for 1st gear it won't go in and it feels like the car wants to me.

Then drove it a bit by putting the car in 1st gear when off, then turn it over and off you go. You can just about change gears using the revs of the engine.
Now here the fun bit. I woke up yesterday and took it for a quick blast and when I stopped to put it in gear while engine was off it now won't start. Not even in neutral. I'm getting really annoyed with this car plus to top it off I payed to get the conversion done locally thru a mate of a mate.

Can anyone give me advise before I sell this bloody thing. Thanks.

Well it didn't want to start when conversion was done due to the immobiliser. But the ecu was unlocked and mapped. Apparently it's the original alarm causing this problem. I popped the bonnet before and found this

That can't be like that?! I'm I right? The car drove ok on the 23rd but after driving it yesterday it now won't start. Yes I have the keys , yes there is fuel in the car and yes the battery is there and working.

"won't start".... brilliant description.. could be that you have lost the key? Someone nicked the battery? Fuel been nicked? :?

You need to try a little harder to describe the problem and what you have checked for, but, ideally, the mate of a mate should be sorting it out by the sounds of things!

Not sure I'd be too pleased if I'd paid for a conversion and the wiring was made to work with hacks like that. A jumper across a relay is fine for testing or as an emergency get you home measure. It definitely isn't part of a finished wiring loom.

Yeh I'm not happy at all and he won't come sort it. I Had a bad feeling before I took it. Should have listened to my instinct. Too late now. It needs sorting out
