Diff gasket

Hi, where can i get a new diff gasket for the e30. cant seem to find one. cheers

yes i tried that first. said they couldnt get it. otherwise i wouldnt have asked.

if you got to the BMW parts department section on the forum, give your reg or vin number. And they will be able to send you a gasket, your BMW parts man probably didn't feel like helping.

Or have a look on www.realoem.com and find the BMW part number and go to your dealership with that.

If you are retrofitting an LSD, there are 2 sizes of differential, so 2 different gaskets.

Thanks for the info, thats part of the problem the diffs been replaced from original and i dont know how to tell what diff size it is.

How many bolts do you count on the back cover?

6 = small case.

8 = medium case.

6 bolts: order a gasket for an E30 320i = 33 11 1 210 428
8 bolts: order a gasket for an E30 325i = 33 11 1 210 405

I just got one. Sub £4 for a piece of paper. Lol.
