Is it just me or do they seem to be getting cheaper? Six months ago or so, tidy ones were sort of Ԛ£4k ish, now I seem to see loads of really nice ones for like Ԛ£3k and less. What does everyone think?

i think how many people know how to fit a sport gearbox and diff, and how many know the difference between the 2.........and the rest with all that.
I think olly if u want a good one u have to pay now, the good ones being sold for cheap money have died out somewhat due to the numbers produced. Which leaves u in a minefield of too much potential either way.
i paid alot for mine 2 years ago, but as it's a keeper for now i can justify to my self keeping it! or trying very hard!

I already have one, but sometimes I am a bit devastated what I paid for it, as I see ones that are just as nice going for up to Ԛ£1k less. I was a bit hasty with the purchase and should have looked round more but heh, you cant turn the clock back can you?
Zayyan, sometimes I really wish I had done that, would have just bought a tidy tourer for a grand or so and slapped an LSD in it.

they are worth what some one is willing to pay for one.
i've seen minters go for peanuts, and dogs go for silly money.

Simon, I bet even a muppet like me could fit a diff.
I won't start arguing about whether Sports are worth the money though, they do make sense due to the resale value.
Plus OllieB, you can happily be a Sport snob anyway, surely that was worth it?

i think its as said by other members a case of knowledge and quality. Some people just don't realise there is a market for these cars and put them up cheaper than what they may be worth.
The good ones will always be top dollar cause they tend to be looked after by enthusiasts and the ones that need a little work or have had their day will reflect in the price.

There seems to be a large amount of sports for sale at the moment, and they're mostly in Ireland, there was a post about this recently, over the last 5 years all the best sports were going to Ireland, but they're coming back now, and this isn't going to help the prices, the Irish are finding faster cars for the RWD scene!
