The SD1 and anything with a Rover badge after was just BL shite Rog. The P5 and P6 (and the triumph 2500) were from when Quality mattered.
A P6 3500S Manual with Box Pleat Leather always got me a bit excited I'm afraid. Agreed the estate is no pretty beast but rarity and practicality count in my book.
There were a few P6's in the family when i was growing up from an early grey 66 2000 to a white 76 3500 auto (I can remember at least 5). They were not as common in the family as Fords but they crept in on occasion. An SD1 (or any other of the BL wedged wronguns) never made it into the fold I'm afraid.

Jon, you'll never get Trev to love any of the fine automobiles to leave French shores. Show him so Ford Grandad Dagenham scrap and he'll be as happy as a pig in shit.

Actually, the French have gone up in my estimation over the last few weeks. As long as their equipment doesn't blow a head gasket / suffer an electrical problem, blow it's chocolate gearbox or get water damaged from a leaking sunroof, they should do well.

In all my days, I have never seen one of these in an estate version! Must be an extremely rare creature.
