So i recently got a 320i 2 door in good condition. Initial plan was to do an M20B28 Turbo conversion, but im also thinking of going M60B40 instead now, (with a view to possibly turboing it later but not at the moment)
I dont want to go the M52 route as i have that in another car
What sort of 0-60 times can i expect from both? and is it difficult to turbo the V8 at a later date (what sort of psi and bhp should i expect from standard internals, but uprated head bolts and head gasket?)
Help me decide on which engine pls

I know sod all about your questions except to say, a V8 is boss.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...
How difficult are they to turbo later on, what sort of 0-60 time would I expect from a NA V8 and the m20 turbo?

0-60 will be as fast as most 'quick' E30's
You don't really need to turbo it, with a few basic tuning mods you can get 350+hp from an M62
Done properly it will be a nice car, just don't bodge it in like most of the V8's that do the rounds

I think my aim was 350-400 with the m20t - so 350 would be great - what would I need to do to get this, and which parts do I need for the complete conversion?
I've heard team sunset do a few bits - are they any good?

Def V8!!!
I'll do a V8 if a mod another E30!!!
Once it's in it should just be easy, reliable, torquey, smooth... well that's my theory!!!
Will sound nice too!!!

which model would the V8 come from as I've always been interested in this conversion..
Also im guessing the Non Vanos version would be the best to go for in an E30?
Just make sure you do the gaskets BEFORE fitting the engine (including the 10p o-ring for the coolant pipe) as im pretty certain doing them in situ in an E30 is impossible lol
