was wondering what colours were the evo sports available in, as i have seen one for sale but to me it seems dodgy. also it doesnt have the sport rear wing and front wing. oh its macau blue and 1990 registered. its going fairly cheap for a sport evo thats why i am suspicious.

Sounds like someone is getting their evo's mixed up.
You would know a Sport evo, red seatbelts, recaros SRD's (proper bucket type seat) adjustable rear flap, no lip spoiler on the front, but an adjustable lip that extends from under the front bumper, suede steering wheel knob and handbrake, these are just the obvious give away signs.
Sport evo also never had the maplights in the rear view mirror, and also the grab handles were deleted.
Rumour has it, that a couple of one off sport evo's were made in the non usual colour which as Giles said were Jet Black and Brilliant Red.
One of these car was supposedly Nogaro Blue.

Heres my Sport Evo for comparison. The alloys are forged 16" with nagro silver paint on the X spokes

I think they are. I quite like them and the inerior. I know it looks a bit tarty but then I'm a bit of a tart and it actually fits well with the black and red exterior and engine bay

Respect Gary for having a Sport evo, but as a custodian of a significant chariot you have a responsibility to preserve it for future generations.
Please tell me you had a shagged cloth trim retrimmed in that dubious manner and that you didn't mutilate an original sport evo leather trim ?
.As for the exhaust, i trust the pictures are old and you have long disposed of the offending item
. I believe Sport evo(red) plug leads are nla from BMW , but are readily available state side for about us$150, so you have no excuse for your red rocker cover and black leads.
I have seen your Sport evo at a few shows and it looks tidy , and is saveable, unlike some i could mention..........

Cheers guys.
Yes indeed the pic's are old ones. It had an original BMW exhaust which had rusted and the previous owner decided to rivet DTM tailpipes to it. You'll be glad to know that I have since replaced the exhaust with a Miltek S/S.
The interior was done prior to my ownership. I believe it was carried out by the original German owner for some reason only known to him.
THe Sport Evo is in the throws of a restoration as I have recently fitted a new offside door as well as wing due to some dreaded tin worm (only minor admittedly) but I like things to be right.
Next on the cards is a scuttle panel replacement and full respray as everything else is in A1 condition especially the engine.
The leads will have to wait as will the cam cover until everything else mentioned has been completed.
