1990 touring rear was wipe problems

the rear wash wipe will only switch off if i remove the fuse. otherwise i end up with a flat battery. i tried changing the relay situated in the rear alreadybut no joy.

Usual cause is that the small microswitch, mounted in the round cover of the wiper's gearbox is jammed on.
Usually happens as a result of screenwash fluid leaking into the gearbox, so don't be surprised if it doesn't look pretty in there.
