I'd go as far as to say this is the best all round E30 in the country imo.
Bootyman may have more shiny bits and more power, but for a car that sticks so damn close to it's roots, you can't beat this one.

First off I'd just like to say lovely car there mate, looks perfect! I really do like the black sports, probably biased though as I own one myself. I'm not sure if you've already answered these questions, as if I'm honest I didn't read every last post, but I just wondered what exhaust you had on it and what suspension you've gone for. I'm looking to drop mine at some point, but I can't decide how much by.

The exhaust was custom made when the engine conversion was done. It's a twin 2.5" system all the way through.
Suspension wise, it has H&R -35mm sport springs and Bilstein shocks. It actually sits a little lower than the springs would suggest, but this is due to the large engine in the front, and the stereo in the rear.
Cheers,
Ian.

Not much to update really. I've still got it and it still runs perfectly. It's a bit of a garage queen at the moment, but it should be out and about shortly.

All good thanks. Yes, still got it. It doesn't come out to play very often these days, but still in fine fettle.

I think they all went up in smoke when Imageshack closed its doors. I'll see what I can find, but it looks pretty much the same as it used to.Simon wrote:Hi Ian, pics are not showing, be nice to see some new pics.
I bought it back in December 96. It's actually still the newest car I've ever owned. I think it had 54K on the clock when I bought it. It's got about 170K on it nowHow long have you owned this now?
Cheers,
Ian.

Long time no see guys, hope all is well.
Definitely a blast from the past
Ian was the reason I S50'd my Sport after seeing his in Total BMW mag iirc. And thanks to his massive help, he was the reason mine all worked first time lol
And I still remember feeling foolish trying to unlock my car and wondering why I couldn't get in, only to then realise I was trying unlock Simons near identical Sport parked next to mine

I don't think so. I don't actually recall what he did with it in the end. He's moved away now, so I can't ask.

E30 takes up the garage. Got an E46 330D M-Sport Touring on the drive (with a bonkers remap). Probably the best car I've ever owned actually.DanThe wrote:Your best mate IIRC jon![]()

Nah Sean sold it after about 12 months. The lads that bought it turned it into a track car. It resurfaced for sale about 5 years ago - but it looked absolutely shagged.
I still see Sean - he lives in a big pile in Wiltshire now though.
Hello BTW.
Hello Ste. I recall not only that Sean was not only an airline pilot but had a smoking hot Russian bird. Hero!
I recall also your horrified expressions when you came for the car. I'd bought another house and was using the Mansfield shithole as a parts store whilst the sale to the council went through. It was flattened not long after that.
