what's the deal with these guys? I'm pretty local to them now and will need a BMW specialist at some stage but have heard negative things about them. Anyone have any experience?

I've seen plenty of their work ! :o  8O :(

In fairness it was several years ago but unlike ML where a new broom swept the old detritus out the door and several miles down the road , nothing much has changed down there. You might become one of their many fans OR one of their many detractors. How lucky do you feel ? :)

I'm happy with my manifold but I found them full of themselves and rather impolite when talking on the phone :D

Think I'm going to buy one, is it worth getting the rest of the exhaust from them or getting a stainless custom one

About half an hour from you then.

There's not much around here in terms of specialists, I know a good general garage if you need someone to do general servicing and part replacement but they are about 50 mins from you. Place I put the S50 track car together for.

I would get the exhaust custom made, you then have your say on how loud you want it and typically rework is free if you are not happy with it.
