Can anyone help to solve a problem thats annoying me....

My e30 is nearly back in one piece, but the carpet in the drivers footwell doesnt seem to sit correctly, like its sunken??

Should the coupes have these type of heater ducts under the carpet - to feed into the rear?

Or are the ducts a more door thing?

Cars without the under carpet ducts have a distinctive different colour foam filler to take up the space, but the ducts can be fitted to all cars depending on model/spec

Ahh ok, i might be missing the foam filler then - it probably fell out through the holes in my floor.

I have a 325i sport, any ideas what the 'correct' method is?

I've never seen a UK 2 door with the ducts but the can be swapped in no problem...
