Theres soemthing about this car - it just looks 'right' from every angle and I'm loving the conversion. I even think the metric wheels look awesome too!

Very nice!

Looked like a very clean example, shame to drop a modern anchor into it imo.

I think that adds to the appeal - totally standard looking from the outside with a nice twist under the bonnet. Subtle but I imagine very quick. Looks to have been done very nicely indeed

It's subjective, I couldn't bring myself to mess with a good example turd.

Plus an M30 has it's charms :)

If I've read it right he bought it as a rolling shell that had been painted but left in stoage for a long time, so possibly it wasn't a case of molesting a nice, clean, original car. But I know what you mean!

Yes it's a funny choice but that only adds to the period feel I think?

It was a 524td, any petrol conversion was surely a better option!?

No I think he's saying he grew up with a 524td as a kid which is where his love of E28s comes from 8)

Yes I think that's all part of the appeal? Staggered 16" Alpinas would be really cliched I think.

Some RS's would be nice but not some big blingy ones with stretched tyres.

16's with a chunky period tyre.

True, early diesels are tragic.... I am being talked around. I don't have Google translate on the phone so didn't bother reading the Master Race scribble.

I like Metrics but some steelies with chrome centre caps would have me hosting a canoe in my pants....

Perfect ! Would make a nice sleeper to compliment any E30 in the garage. Always loved the idea of the V8 engine swap in the E28. No bling wheels, these are great.

HOW MUCH!!? They're almost as expensive as period Radial tyres and they are cooler than the other side of the pillow!
