Mann oil filter too tall for the m50 oil housing!?

Hi
I'm due to do my oil filter replacement after the sump gasket change and when I removed the oil filter cap the filter was squashed in.

Now I've bought a Mann filter from GSF and it's too tall for the housing.

Is it something common or do I have a different oil filter housing?

I'll measure it and let you guys know

How much taller is it? Have you still got the old filter? Can you take a picture to compare?

The old filter was Mann also that's why was all squashed in.

The filter it's 10.2 cm
And with the rubber ends up 11.2cm
