Where Is the Large baked bean tin Fuel filter location on preface lift 1984 320...

It don't seem to be near underneath near rear passenger wheel arch.. Is it under bonnet?

Fuel filter location is occupied by the fuel pump in ancient E30s. Look in the back left corner of the engine compartment for the fuel filter.
