just bought a 320i auto with broken gearbox, has a spare one with it both 4 hp 22 but broke one has kickdown cable and 2 prong lead going into it and new one has no kickdown cable and 8 prong lead. can i use this or is it just scrap? cheers shane

Non swichable has a cable to the throttlebody

The To run the switchable box you need the ecu etc

yeah thats the one that is broke, is it possible to use the switchable gearbox which i have? what would i need to convert? im not bothered about it actually being switchable just need it moving for now

sorry i missed that last bit, ok so not really worth bothering with then, just wanted it driveable for now until i got all the manual conversion parts. cheers anyway sweep
