I got my G-Tech Timer this morning from the group buy....
Despite the rain I had to try it out....
Due to traffic and no decent roads round here I could only do two runs, here are my results:
0-60 = 9.20 (W)
1/4 Mile = 17.15 (W)
Quite pleased with these, especially since it was wet!
Anyone else got their times?

looks pretty sweet dude-stock 320 touring seems plenty quick for me!
had snow up here, so think 0-60 would be a touch slower

Yeah, it goes well for a 320 for sure.....
Yours flies to 60, I reckon it's losing something in the 1/4 mile, I reckon it could go quicker than that mate...!!
I would be interested to take the G-Tech to the Pod, to compare times!
We need a 0-60 and 1/4 mile section!

dammit i just bought mine for Ԛ£45! doh!
i got 6.70, but (list of excuses coming up!), muddy and wet, near bald tyres (had the new ones still in the boot!), and my less-good engine which would have come out today if it wasn't snowing!
hoping for 6 dead with the new tyres and new engine installed. and some dry weather if we ever get any!
i took it in a friend's dad's e46 m3 SMG and it ran 5.34 3 times in a row! and that was with a fairly gentle start, you really need a clutch so you can slip it a little to keep the engine from bogging down...
have a video of this if anyone wants it!

I imagine G-Techmotorsport will answer this properly.....
It doesn't tell you your speed, it works from G-Forces.
When you enter your vehicles' weight, it can work out the bhp quite accurately.
Oh yeah....plugs into cigarette lighter and sticks to windscreen, just like some radar detectors.

0-60 in 6.2 with shit gearing
1/4 ?????? not tested yet
Should be sub 6 when i get around to fitting my 3.64 LSD and my TB's
It's just a question of getting the power down cleanly in first gear but it's not easy.
I dump the clutch at 2000rpm and balance the throttle V's grip.
If i set off with higher revs it spins the wheels to much.
I need some good dry quite roads to practice on !
I might try lower revs at launch and slip the clutch slightly. What technique does every one else use ?

Hi,
As DaveTouring says, doesnt display speed.
Does display
0 - 60 time
60 - 0 time (braking)
BHP
and also G Force
The idea of the G Force measurement is this:
Set a cone on the centre of an empty piece of tarmac.
Drive around the cone in a circular motion and note the lateral G at which the car started to loose grip.
Make adjustments to the car , say change tyres, lower suspension, alter geometry or stiffen ride then carry out same trial. The higher the G force at which you loose grip the better.
As for accuracy, the feedback both here and on other sites as well as my ebay shop is that the accuarcy is very high.
Some guys have said it ties in with there Dyno reading , others with there strip run.
Definately worth 34.99 surely
Cheers

You can do better than that you sloth!
I did only two runs today, in the wet.
My best 0-60 was 9.20
1/4 Mile was 17.15
You aren't much faster than me, so I know you can go quicker!

Doesnt just dumping the clutch at 3.5k/4k give a good launch?

Just dumping the clutch will give you wheelspin!
For me, around 4k is good, on the limit of adhesion and high up enough in the powerband so when the clutch is completely engaged, you move quicker!
