Firstly hello PonyConcoursfreak wrote:Have a prepurchase inspection with one of the Zoners mentioned or BMW Dealer or BMW Independent Specialist
Secondly a main dealer knows nothing about e30's. They have for the most part not seen any e30's for 20 years
Thirdly prepare to be booted off

It's in Chesham... I'm sure some zoners will give their positive opinions of cars in chesham
! Though apparently Munich Legends rate it! I do believe a couple of ML employees are members so can either confirm either way.

It is f*cking garbage and NO ONE from ML has said it's in the top five examples!!!! The person advertising the car WILL be getting a call tomorrow!
It belonged to a chap in Brighton up until a couple of months ago and obviously some chesham trader type has bought it to flip it quick.
Rotten bulkhead, rotten roof, rotten boot pockets, 4.10 small case NON LSD fitted, patched up front floors are some of the issues and enough to put anyone off!!!

This chap with the sport has just asked me if I am interested in the sport, should I point out the tyres, potential goosed gear box and the non genuine parts used for the service.
I don't want to come across as calling his car when in fact I do like it but as we all agree it's not as honest as it looks .

Nice red 1 on pistonheads company called kgf it's an auto which is not a problem , just a pity it's sold .
Do company's like old colonel, Munich legends, 4 star classic source cars, would this be a good option and pay somebody to find a suitable car surely they must get offered loads .

This!
I liked the before mentioned sport.. the interior everything looked decent.. it's just the money he was wanting! U should of asked what his final price was.. and worked out what you had left to sort out issues...
Assuming the shell was decent and not rusty underneath

The lowest he said he would take is £10.500 said that was taking into account the trust bearing etc.
Not sure he would drop any further it's not a nice thing to ask unless you stood in front of him with the dosh , what do you see it realistically valued at that's fair .

Take an expert and 8 bags of sand in £50s and see what deal can be done
Expert will find all faults etc and adjust your offer accordingly!
Pay said expert to replace fucked gearbox and tyres and hey presto it might be what your after!

£10'000 for an old M20 325i?
Really?
For 10-12 grand I'd want something with way under 100k, preferably nearer to 70'000 miles. They are out there, you just need to be patient. A couple of years back I was offered a 2 owner 50'000 mile Sport for £3500. It was pretty rusty and needed the usual £5000 body rebuild but the end result would have been a mint low owner 50'000 mile car with a proper history, not something that's been to Pluto and back.
Keep looking.

My comments were referring to the £5750 car in Chesham that Awarded linked up, not the £12k car in London.Brianmoooore wrote:Did you not see Barry's last post on the previous page?Cosmosblack74 wrote:The lowest he said he would take is £10.500 said that was taking into account the trust bearing etc.

Well write what he did was a bit stupid really as a couple of people have called ML to ask what the car is like. Needless to say they were told the truth!Awarded wrote:Clearly a low life seller!
