Took the old girl for a spin this evening as I had not been nowhere near her since I bought her .
She fired up right on the button and I went for a blast you can't be that feel good feeling you get from driving an old 6 that's running perfectly .
The new online tax system as I have the papers so I can tax on line, does that mean I can tax her for the rest of this month and then cancel when I leave her laid up over the winter months .

Yes, that's the way it works now. You can stop the tax at the end of any month.Cosmosblack74 wrote: The new online tax system as I have the papers so I can tax on line, does that mean I can tax her for the rest of this month and then cancel when I leave her laid up over the winter months .

Getting a sorn will be better than simply cancelling direct debit imo.

The tax always starts at the start of the month. So if you are half way through the month, you still have to pay for the full month (i.e. pay for the fist half of the month that has already passed), or wait until the start of the next month.Cosmosblack74 wrote:Can anybody advice on the tax issue .
