One of my locks won't turn so I thought I would remove it and take a look. Also while its out I would get the barrel code for a new key. With the door card removed I found that access to it is really restricted. Will it require the window mechanism to be removed?

Did this the other week long screwdriver and push the holding clip towards front of car and should pop out

If you can't get your hand in there to put back then maybe have to take parts out the way a˜„

Cheers, figured that might be the case. I was concerned that if it was a struggle to remove that clip then the reverse procedure would be worse.

Window mech. is very easy to remove and replace (three bolts and a nut). Use a wedge between the weather seal and the glass, or duct tape over the top of the dor and down each side of the glass, to keep the glass in the fully up position.

Thanks, will give it a go at some point. Might try some WD40 in the lock first.

It's fiddly, but you do need to take the mech out

Not impossible, just frustrating!
