Afternoon all”¦. my e30 has been running well for some time, and i recently changed the coolant, which hadn't been changed for some time, ensured there were no air locks etc”¦ but i have now woken up to a drivers side footwell full of my new pink coolant! its dumped pretty much the whole lot, so i have taken away any central surrounds etc and the leak is coming from behind the casing exactly where the matrix is”¦ i can't see the matrix for the black casing but it seems a big job to remove this? Does the dash need to come off? I have no idea how to get to the matrix (i can see pipes going in and out but I'm guessing i need to repair or replace the matrix”¦ how do i get to it and get it out and should i just replace it? Any help really welcome”¦ Thanks JP

It's more likely to be the valve.

This can be repaired by following instructions here: http://translate.google.co.uk/translate ... 6bih%3D880

Post 24 has a list of the parts required.

Is your car left or right hand drive?

Heater valve failure causes leaks into the passenger footwell on right hand drive cars.
