'Late' model = '99 = 16 years old and mostly scrap 
There are still a few nice ones around but the owners know it they won't be found on ebay for 3k. Biggest issue is deferred maintenance / repairs , electrical dramas and the depressing amount of parts that are 8 specific
Having owned loads of each, I would rather a NICE 635. If your 6 drives poorly, it is because it has issues, not because they all do !

The 6 drives with out fault I can't really complain, but surely you can't compare the 8 with the 6 no comparison really.

Yeah I would say the 8 is better then the 6 ,but you can't compare any of them with the 3 as is a totally different car and was aimed at a certain market .
