Its final turned back up! :)

I assume you bough the C2 from Chris Warburton?

I remember when it was for sale back then with Chris who was selling on behalf of another zoner called old_skool. A zoner called maxos also owned it some time prior.

I bought it off a guy called Damian who I think bought it off Chris, its been in my barn while I've been up to my eyes for the last few years. Now Im getting the little bits sorted on it so I can get it out next Summer. 6 years 220 miles .. lol

That Corrado is my old Storm that I did a load of restoration work on 4 years back, should have kept that one too, but the C2 I cant ever see me getting shot of, Sytners asked me if I interested in selling it when I checked the B3S with them and mentioned a valuation of 25k but I wont sell it.

Thanks for the nice comments guys :)

Pretty sure Damian was old_skool' if you search his username you will possibly find more history about the car, he did a couple of great build threads.

I vaguely remember the car and it is a perfect colour combo

Yes Damian is old_skool. Chris had it for sale on behalf of Damian but must have take it back and then sold it to you.

Did you ever get round to fitting the A/C that came with the car? I sold that to Damian back in 2008?

I still have some pics of the car from the for sale ad when Chris had it.

cheers pukar, I do feel privileged to own them. Still amazes me how many of the public are totally ignorant when it comes to Alpinas, I always gets lots of nice comments about the B3S but very few ever know anything about them .. updating the exhaust????

maxfield .. cheers, just found this

Didn't know about that when I bought the car, I'll print off the thread and add it to the file .. sad aren't I, but its nice to get all the history of it, I think I'm the longest serving owner now, so I feel I should look after it, was after a motorsport when I saw this and literally jumped at it, rang Damion there and then within 30 mins of the ad appeared and drove to Gloucester the next day to buy it
Thanks again, much appreciated :) Just wish I'd kept my E36 B3 3.2, that was black too, would have been a great trio but thats just being greedy

I remember going up to Chris's and having a good look around it. If it had been a 2.7 i would of snapped it up! Lovely car enjoy it.

Sorry, the exhaust pipes look a bit small in diameter compared to the cut out in the rear valance.... but I don't know of it is original or not on a c2 2.5 :o:

Is this C2 the "oxford" car? Reshell, hence the facelift rear lamps?

Gert_8 .. No, its not mate, I think the one you're referring to is mentioned at the bottom in the thread below by funnybear who from what I've read owns the Oxford one.
Mines not been in Oxford in the last 6 years as its been stuck indoors :)

Don't know about the rear lights, its a late car and I know of some other verts of that year that have the large rear lights but I don't obviously have the history from the beginning so couldn't comment either way.

There is a lot of rubbish talked though, like the M Tec kit which was actually fitted by Sytners from new (I've got the receipt to prove it) and was carried out at the same time as they did the C2 2.5 conversion which again was before PDI from new.

pukar, yes mate quite correct, the exhaust is a bit low, awaiting a new hanger from BMW. Not sure of whether its small or not though, seems about right to me but coz its low it may not fit right .. not really sure ... lol

Sorry, it's a very similar looking car, hence my query. I actually arranged to see that car with the intention if buying it, but it sold very quickly.

That'll do it ;)

Looking so sweet, I love the storm as well in green, it's a classic, and they're not too expensive at the moment either.

No worries Gert :)

Pukar, yes mate, loved the Storm, had it a couple of years and pretty much re built the running gear as it was a mare, then promptly sold it straight on , so didnt get to play with it really. I used to have a 16v Rado back in the day which I adored and I actually felt was better balanced than the Storm as it was bit lighter on the front, but what do I know . lol.. the papers reckoned the VR6 was the better car. Applies to E30s as well, I adore the C2, but I used to own an E30 M3 convertible before that and actually prefer the C2, which I'm sure most on here would say is sacrosanct .. but it maybe me getting old, the 2.5 straight 6 with a slight Alpina tune is all but as quick as the M3 and the 6 is definately smoother, add in right hand drive and me being the wrong side of 40 and it suits me better :)

that's funny, i had an e30 m3 convertible also! i am inclined to agree that the six cyl is smoother and better suited to the cab and the s14 is probably wasted on a cab, so i am with you on that....but then i am also just 40 as well, maybe we're getting old
