My gearbox has always been a bit oily and I have recently replaced the two seals at the back for the output shaft and gear selector.

Looking under the car again today it still has evidence of leakage... Are there any other common points that leak from the box?

Cheers,
Jack

When i put a new selector shaft seal on mine, it seem to leak very slightly for a week or so but now it has seemed to bed in and doesn't leak anymore - don't know if this is usual.

If it looks like its coming from the front of the box it might be the sump gasket on the engine leaking at the back?

Did you use sealant on the splines of the output shaft?

I did put sealant on the splines. I haven't had chance to get a proper look yet so not sure if it's still coming from the rear, will have a good look once I get under the car then. Wasn't sure if there was another common place to pay particular attention.

Cheers.
