Make sure you get your oil leak inspected as i bet a shunt in the exhaust could case something to crack up front, I hope your engine is ok

Goodluck and also goodluck keeping your licence in the new m3

Yeah, I'm going to mail Pacer Pete shortly and see if I can have him check things out whilst it's at the body shop in Waltham Abbey?

New M3 is certainly quick but I'd still rather the E30 version.

Haven't updated for a while but all is well once again.

Some new parts and a used, but rust free rear panel from Big Bavarian.

Thanks to Pacer Pete for hooking me up with the KWV2's

Also opted to replace the Compos' with 3 piece E50

Jig work and repairs done.

Image

Didn't want the gold so had the rims refurbished and narrowed the fronts to 8''

Full repaint.

Very happy with the end result.

Really happy with how the car feels on the KW's.

Finally found myself a decent race seat from Sabelt.

Glad to see a happy ending! Hadn't seen this thread before so started from the beginning only to see the bad news in the middle.

What did the oil leak turn out to be?

Been a busy few months working through a list of final jobs. Included synchronising ITB's and replacing any tired 'O' rings. I also replaced all of the engine sensors as am pretty sure most were original and well past their best. The coolant temperature sensor was also causing some poor running and the engine was well down on power as a result.

Image

I plan on doing some speed events this year, including one in France, so replaced the seats and harnesses. Also went with a GrpA throttle pedal assembly and gear linkage/lever is next. I also need to do the emergency electrical cut-out and extinguisher.

Image

Image

I also need to sort the digital AFR gauge wiring.

Image

Also intend doing the cam cover black with red lettering, although I'll probably wait till have the head flowed and Schrick cams installed.

Image

Roll on summer!

Your passenger side inner front lamp looks like it needs to be aligned.

Yes, all sorted now thanks.

Off to Castle Combe at weekend for Spring Action Day. Plan on doing Crystal Palace sprint in May also.

Car is in workshop at ARM BMW Motorsport for fluids and general spanner check. Also fitted carbon fibre parcel shelf, although still need door cards.

Hoobs

I was down Castle combe, your car looks great, Also seen you several times taking passengers out for a run.

Did not get to meet you though you were busy, I did get to go out with the top 25 cars though.
