My electric windows have packed up on my 1990 320 cab. They started working intermittantly but now dont work.
Wierdly the switches dont light up but if i open a door they light up and the windows work. When they light up i can hear a click behind the glovebox.
Close the door and the lights go off.The windows stop working.
Any help would be most welcome

I popped the switches out on mine when they started to work intermittently and gave them a clean as per the wiki. Not saying that's the answer for you but I've had no issues since.

Windows obtain their power from fuse 28 when a front door is open, and from fuse 17 when the doors are closed and the ignition is on. The click you hear is from the relay changing between the two supplies.
First thing to check is fuse 17.
