XJ40 next weekend then. :D

Seriously though, you did the right thing. A rusty E36 is a rusty E36. Lots of better turdz out there.

....like an ex Bracknell 740i press car. Bit salty at £3000 but still a nice thing.

That's a pretty good contender against the rusty 328i I had for the engine a few years back!

Rusty Monroe shocks - every expense spared!

It'd be alright for a couple of grand maybe.

The sill on the other side had bungs in so 'looked' okay at least.. That rust on the turret had gone all the way through, if you poked it from behind the panel just crumbled to dust (and you could see your hand in the engine bay) The rear sub frame felt like damp squidgy cardboard 8O Arches and boot floor looked okay though, some paint action by the look of things a few nasty bodges too like the rear spoiler sitting in big blobs of glue where it had fallen off previously, fuse box looked a bit interesting too 8O

The guy said he'd had offers of £3.5K and £3.7K but wanted a 'little bit more' :D He had a garage for it so was just going to keep it if it didn't go..

Offers my 4rse, the fool is dreaming. That is a 2k (not mine I hasten to add!) resto project for somebody who is not interested in breaking even any time this century .
