What width of wheel please

Just in the process of upgrading the wheels, am going for 16" and want staggered but just want to know what width people are running, I'm currently on standard wheels and lowered 50mm all round want some to fit nice without any or minimal alterations Was thinking 8j front and 9j rear would that be good, also advice on offset and tyre size too. Thanks
