Only Black RHD E9 from factory?

Yo, so a local 'BMW SPECIALIST' seems to think he has the ONLY black RHD E9 CSL from factory... The thing is, his job is selling cars, so he talks a lot of sh*t! It's defiantly had a respray at one point to (you could peel it and eat the segments, nah mean?)

Can anyone conclude this?

I'd love to show him up...

I have a photo that I took around 14 days ago of a diamond black one on my phone. Regs ends in 25M. Pretty sure it is not the same guy.

I had a black one about 8 years ago reg was HNR3L if I remember correctly

I know of an allegedly factory black CSL owned originally by Lord Hesketh. It is stored in a chest of drawers

Haha, thanks for the input! I'll do a drive-by and get the reg soon! It's hard to believe really, but you guys' ones must not have originally black? :O

One must assume that every CSL is ringer with very 'interesting' history, unless proved otherwise

These cars were virtually worthless in the 80s and were failing MOTs spectacularly at less than ten years old on major structural rust. Many were scrapped but the most valuable parts lived on to fight another day........
