HI. I've bought a pair of second hand Gaz GHA rear coilovers but without springs. I'm unhappy with the height the rear of the car sits on new H&R springs. It's an 87 pre-facelift, originally a 316 but now an M52B28. Being pop spec I think it weighs next to nothing, so buying 6 cylinder H&R springs in hindsight was the wrong decision.
Can someone tell me which length coilover spring I will need, and which spring rating? I know the ID of the spring is 2.25", but can't find the length. I'm also thinking 300lbs for rears is about right for good road handling without being too crashy.
I appreciate the top mounts will be a weak point, but to be honest the car is not thrashed and barely does any miles. I'll probably uprate them at some point also. I'm also hopeful to get the front down to where I want it with E90 tophats.
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks
