Hi All,

The cabby is in the garage this morning having the cambelt, water pump replaced and full service done on it, along with its MOT.

I noticed the fuel gauge was bouncing around all over the dial on the way into the garage.

What's the cause and remedy please?

TIA.

The car has been serviced and I noticed the problem has gone away - without me looking at either of the suspected causes to the reported problem....

Thanks.

Has the battery been disconnected for any lengthy period of time? Something similar happened to mine along with the MPG gauge working intermittently. Apparently the SI batteries go flat and causes odd faults. Mine's all sorted after a few days being driven.

Hahaha.

No, when it's garaged, it's on a trickle charger. :D

I think Diable is right.
