RUST is the BIGGEST issue to investigate when buying an E30 and they will all have it somewhere, usually in the same places. Plenty of guides here telling you how and where to look. Remember, what you can see is literally the tip of the iceberg. A grinder taken to a slightly scabby rear arch can soon reveal carnage and a £500 PER side repair !
Beware of converted cars, things are often not quite as they seem. I do not know the car in question, but the fact that he drove all the way to the Nurburgring at 60 mph is probably because he had the original stupidly low ratio small case 320 auto diff still fitted , as well as the drum rear brakes.
Spend more money and buy a 325 if that is what you want . This will always be a 320 that somebody has put a 325 engine into.
