I like the E46 M3, i think they're great fun to drive. Albeit a bit council.

I'm assuming you've already searched the Internet for common faults.

Because it's a convertible.

A coupe however, is a different story :) I would, without even thinking about it...

Mate I do not think it would be possible for me to look camp or like a hair dresser...so thats a good start...

Seems the SMG gear boxes are the biggest issue...other than that nothing that Barry bss325i could not sort out...

Get a decent one and probably not a bad investment - just look at the prices of e36's over the past 18 months.

Unfortunately not many good ones left, especially convertibles.

Have a look on m3cutters.

That's what I was thinking...E30 M3's are priced out of most peoples range so I think the next model that will become a popular buy will be the e46...
