Hi got up this morning to find a massive puddle of yellowish stained water on my drive way checked the obvious the cap on the expansion bottle all was but ok no water followed the yellow stains and then filled up the bottle again and found where water was coming from a pipe which goes across the distributor and so close to the fan which has sliced the pipe i have purchased a new pipe and looking to do a full flush and fill with coolant any advice please on how to do this please step by step would be great as i never attempted anything like this.

If the fan is touching the pipe and has actually ripped it, then you possibly have the fan fitted other way round, cooling the engine, rather than the radiator...

Make sure it faces the radiator, I had this problem on mine, luckily discovered it before the pipe got ripped.

For coolant change, see this > http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... ant_Change

P.S. That's assuming you've got an M20.
