Im hoping to find a good 850csi to purchase this year does anyone know of any one that might want to sell one of have any new Ideas where to look??
I have tried Piston heads, Auto trader etc etc.
A late Red one would be even better!
They are few and far between,

Finding a good one will be MUCH harder than finding one. They are mostly sorry old decrepit crap, despite what the sellers think and the asking price would indicate. Tread VERY warily !

Yes I saw that one, though just to make things harder I do not like light grey interiors...
So am probably choosing form about 50 cars and none of them are for sale. Searching is fun though.

Place a wanted advertisement on Pistonheads, 8 Series websites, and other specialist forums
Keep an eye out in the usual places PH, Autotrader, Car and classic, BMW Car a Club website etc
Also may be worth getting in touch with BMW Car Club 8 Series Register to find out who has them and anyone is considering selling etc
Where there is a will there is a way

Thanks, already done allot of those things. Not the clubs yet though. It's definitely a CSI I'm after and not the 840 but thanks anyway.

I know of a guy and it took him 9 months to persuade the owner of a car to sell and a while looking for the right spec vehicle

try this chap
http://www.chrisburtoncars.com/index.ph ... ory/sales/
i met him at gaydon and he seemed to know his 8s and a lot of owners. perhaps one is thinking of doing the sensible thing and selling up
...if they are that hard to find, dyeing grey leather black should be one of the cheapest things you will do with the car.
(I used to own an 850ci btw......i hope you have deep pockets) good luck in your quest
